Vice President of Supply Chain

Our client (via the MobiusEngine.ai Talent Network) is seeking a Vice President of Supply Chain to lead end-to-end strategy and operations across planning, procurement, logistics, and inventory management. The role’s purpose is to build a scalable, resilient, and cost-efficient supply chain that supports operational goals and long-term growth while partnering closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams.

• Develop and execute the company’s supply chain strategy across procurement, demand planning, logistics, warehousing, and distribution.
• Lead Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) to align supply, demand, production capacity, and inventory levels.
• Drive supplier sourcing strategies, negotiations, and relationship management to ensure reliability, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Oversee inventory planning and optimization to improve turns, reduce stockouts, and manage working capital effectively.
• Ensure efficient logistics and distribution operations including transportation, warehousing, and fulfillment.
• Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies for disruptions, constraints, and demand variability.
• Partner with Finance on budgets, cost structures, and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Implement systems, analytics, and performance dashboards to improve visibility and decision-making.
• Lead process improvements and operational excellence initiatives across the supply chain.
• Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing supply chain team and foster cross-functional collaboration.

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, or operations leadership.
• Proven experience managing end-to-end supply chain operations.
• Strong knowledge of demand planning, inventory management, and supplier management.
• Experience leading cross-functional operational initiatives.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and executive stakeholder management abilities.

• Preferred:

  • MBA or advanced degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or Business Administration.
  • Industry experience in manufacturing, consumer goods, retail, e-commerce, or technology.
  • Experience with ERP and supply chain systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
  • Background in supply chain transformation, automation, or analytics initiatives.
  • Experience managing global supplier and logistics networks.

• Executive leadership role; reports to the Chief Operations Officer or Chief Executive Officer.
• Works closely with Operations, Manufacturing, Finance, Sales, and Product teams.
• Operates in a dynamic environment that may include global suppliers and multi-location operations.
