Community Health Specialist | $98/hr Remote

Crossing Hurdles is hiring a contract Community Health Worker (Community Health Specialist) to support AI development efforts with community health expertise. The role focuses on reviewing and annotating health-related data, documenting workflows, and providing feedback to improve AI model training and performance.

• Collaborate with AI development teams to provide expertise in community health practices and protocols.
• Review, create, and annotate health-related datasets to ensure accuracy and relevance for AI training.
• Provide feedback on AI model performance from a community health worker perspective.
• Document community health workflows, case studies, and best practices to improve model training outcomes.
• Participate in virtual meetings and knowledge-sharing sessions with cross-functional teams.
• Apply knowledge of public health issues, patient care, and community resources to inform AI solutions.
• Continuously update knowledge of community health and digital health technologies.

• Certified Community Health Worker or equivalent practical experience in community or public health environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail for documentation and data review.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative setting.
• Demonstrated interest in technology, innovation, or digital health initiatives.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.

• Preferred:

  • Experience in AI, data annotation, or digital healthcare projects.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) or public health data systems.
  • Bilingual or multilingual communication skills.
