The Manager, Talent leads day-to-day recruiting execution, ensuring hiring processes are consistent, compliant, and aligned with organizational values. This temporary, project-based role strengthens hiring operations, candidate experience, and informed decision-making during a period of growth.
What you'll do
- Manage full-cycle recruiting and hiring for assigned roles, ensuring an equitable, high-quality experience for candidates and hiring managers.
- Partner closely with the Director, Talent to translate hiring priorities and workforce needs into effective recruiting execution.
- Align with hiring managers on role scope, screening criteria, interview frameworks, assessments, and timely hiring decisions.
- Ensure recruiting practices comply with internal policies, the CBA, and applicable employment laws; escalate risks and inconsistencies as needed.
- Integrate JustBe practices across sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection.
- Manage and optimize recruiting operations and infrastructure, including the ATS and related tools, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Draft, send, track, and maintain recruiting documentation (e.g., offer letters, NDAs) with proper completion and filing.
- Draft and finalize job descriptions with stakeholders; route for review/approval and maintain standards and policy alignment.
- Support job description lifecycle management (audits, clean-up, standardization, repositories) and contribute to JDMS/job architecture projects.
- Coordinate hiring and onboarding logistics, including start dates and onboarding timelines.
- Prepare and manage content for hiring review meetings; document decisions with appropriate data and context.
- Oversee external recruiting firms as needed, managing workflows and adherence to internal standards.
- Proactively source candidates and build pipelines to anticipate future hiring needs.
- Handle sensitive workforce and labor-related information in a confidential capacity supporting Administration functions.
- Monitor recruiting activity and outcomes; maintain records, report trends, and flag process gaps affecting effectiveness and candidate experience.
- Track and report recruiting metrics (e.g., time to fill, pipeline health); surface risks/roadblocks and recommend adjustments.
- Maintain knowledge of and comply with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or closely related People/HR work.
- Demonstrated ownership of full-cycle recruiting, including interview techniques and evaluation methods.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive workforce information with discretion and sound judgment.
- Experience managing recruiting operations (workflows, documentation, compliance requirements, stakeholder coordination).
- Experience maintaining and optimizing an ATS and related recruiting tools.
- Ability to partner with hiring managers and cross-functional stakeholders to define role requirements and structured interview processes.
- Commitment to people-centered hiring and integrating DEIABJ principles into recruiting and selection.
- Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to manage multiple searches simultaneously while meeting timelines and quality standards.
- Clear communicator able to build trust, navigate ambiguity, and collaborate effectively across teams.
- Results-oriented approach with ability to track progress, identify roadblocks, and drive hiring objectives.
- Working knowledge of employment laws and regulations related to recruiting, hiring, and onboarding.
- Ability to analyze recruiting data/trends and communicate insights to support decision-making.
- Ability to represent roles and the organization transparently to candidates and external partners.
- Experience designing/delivering presentations and facilitating informational sessions.

Conditions
- Location: United States (remote) with <10% travel.
- Term: Temporary, full-time, exempt; expected duration approximately six months (project-based, subject to program needs).
- Work authorization: Requires U.S. work authorization.
