Senior Designer

NikeSKIMS is building a new category of performance products that merges athletic performance with elevated design. The Senior Designer will shape the design and development of apparel and performance essentials, translating creative direction into compelling, functional, culturally relevant products.

• Design innovative performance apparel and essentials aligned with NikeSKIMS seasonal direction and product vision.
• Translate concept frameworks into product designs, including silhouettes, materials, trims, and technical details.
• Create detailed technical sketches, design packages, and prototypes to support development.
• Partner with Product Development and Materials teams to meet performance standards, fit expectations, and commercial viability.
• Integrate performance-driven principles such as movement, functionality, and athlete needs into design solutions.
• Explore new construction techniques, materials, and fabric technologies to improve comfort, performance, and durability.
• Contribute to new product categories and performance solutions within the portfolio.
• Align design direction with merchandising, planning, assortment, and seasonal storytelling.
• Collaborate with Technical Design and Fit teams to refine garments and ensure exceptional fit across diverse body types.
• Track sport, design, and cultural trends; apply consumer insights and athlete feedback to improve relevance and functionality.

• 6–10 years of experience in apparel design, preferably in performance, activewear, or technical product categories.
• Strong understanding of technical apparel construction, fabrics, and performance functionality.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and other design tools.
• Experience producing technical sketches, tech packs, and development documentation.
• Ability to translate creative direction into commercially successful product designs.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.

Preferred:

• Experience designing performance/activewear for global brands.
• Knowledge of athlete-driven product development and testing.
• Passion for sport, fashion, and culture.
