Mercor connects elite creative and technical talent with leading AI research labs. The Basketball Expert will evaluate AI-generated basketball coverage and provide feedback to improve realism, accuracy, and insight.

• Evaluate basketball games and review AI-generated play-by-play commentary and post-game analysis.
• Score the accuracy, insight, and entertainment value of AI sports coverage.
• Assess the AI's understanding of player performance, game flow, and strategic decisions.
• Detect factual mistakes, poor interpretations, or stylistic inconsistencies in AI outputs.
• Provide clear written feedback on strengths, weaknesses, and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with analysts and developers to enhance the AI's basketball-specific reasoning and realism.

• Deep basketball expertise through playing, coaching, commentating, or passionate fandom.
• Strong analytical thinking to evaluate strategies, narratives, and statistical insights.
• Strong written English and ability to communicate nuanced basketball insights.
• Comfortable using online evaluation tools and dashboards.
