Senior People Operations Specialist (Americas)

Summary

The Senior People Operations Specialist (Americas) owns and elevates the employee experience and operational execution across the U.S. and Costa Rica. The role focuses on scalable, compliant people processes across the full employee journey while leveraging systems, automation, and AI-enabled operations.

What you'll do

  • Lead end-to-end employee lifecycle execution including onboarding, internal mobility, compensation changes, leave transitions, offboarding, complex cases, and terminations across time zones.
  • Ensure lifecycle touchpoints deliver clear communication, responsiveness, and a high-quality employee experience.
  • Partner with HRBPs, Payroll, IT, and Finance to coordinate transitions and consistent employee communications.
  • Support employee engagement through onboarding experiences, milestone touchpoints, and regional initiatives to strengthen connection and retention.
  • Identify lifecycle friction points and implement improvements to enhance experience, documentation integrity, and scalability.
  • Manage and enhance benefits across the U.S. and Costa Rica (health, retirement, insurance, statutory leave, wellness), including plan design, vendor coordination, and optimization.
  • Guide employees through benefit enrollments, life events, and leave-related matters; improve program communications and education.
  • Ensure HR governance, compliance, and risk alignment with employment, workforce, and data privacy regulations in the U.S. and Costa Rica.
  • Support compliance processes such as background checks, policy acknowledgments, reporting requirements, and audit readiness; monitor regulatory changes and escalate risks.
  • Submit accurate and timely payroll inputs (new hires, terminations, compensation updates, bonuses, leave adjustments) and ensure HRIS data is correct prior to payroll.
  • Partner with Payroll and FP&A to resolve discrepancies, audit variances, and meet submission deadlines; maintain high data integrity.
  • Continuously optimize workflows using HR systems, automation, and AI-enabled tools to reduce manual work and improve self-service and case management.
  • Develop documentation, standardization, and operational metrics to support repeatable, globally scalable processes and better decision-making.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience owning end-to-end employee lifecycle operations, benefits administration, compliance processes, and payroll inputs.
  • Strong execution and ownership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities with high accuracy and timeliness.
  • Comfort leveraging HR systems, automation, and AI-enabled tools to improve workflows and service delivery.
  • Strong attention to detail with documentation discipline and awareness of regulatory alignment, clean data, and defensible processes across jurisdictions.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally (HRBPs, Payroll, Finance, IT, local leadership) and communicate effectively across time zones in a distributed environment.
