Human Resources Coordinator (Employee Relations)
Summary
SpaceX is developing technologies to enable human life on Mars. The Human Resources Coordinator (Employee Relations) supports a diverse employee population across the full employee life-cycle by providing onboarding support, HRIS administration, and delivery of core HR services. The role partners with the HR team to implement local and company-wide programs in a fast-paced environment.
What you'll do
Maintain the HRIS for all employee life-cycle processes.
Respond to employee inquiries, questions, and concerns.
Provide guidance on HR policies, programs, and processes to employees and managers.
Serve as the onboarding point of contact and support new employees’ transition into SpaceX.
Ensure electronic employee files are accurate and up to date; assist with HR reporting and audit requests.
Assist with creating, documenting, and implementing HR policies, programs, and processes.
Respond to initial unemployment claims and employment verifications.
Support the HR team in delivering core HR services and implementing improvements.
Facilitate site-wide events (benefits fairs, volunteer efforts, team celebrations).
Support the recruitment team with staffing-related support activities.
Maintain strict confidentiality for all HR matters and documents.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree.
6+ months of administrative experience (internship experience qualifies).
Preferred: 3.5 GPA or higher.
Preferred: 1+ year of intern or professional experience in a human resources role.
Basic understanding of labor laws and interest in HR trends and updates.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and embrace change.
Preferred experience with Workday, Greenhouse, and UltiPro.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
Team collaboration skills; ability to work with employees and managers at all levels.
Customer service-oriented approach with accuracy and timeliness.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Experience with PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Excel.
ITAR eligibility requirement (U.S. citizen/national, lawful permanent resident, refugee/asylee, or eligible to obtain authorization).
Conditions
On-site role (not remote); relocation required if not local to Hawthorne, CA area.
Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required.
Pay rate: $27.00/hour (level and pay determined case-by-case).
Potential eligibility for long-term incentives (stock/stock options/long-term cash awards) and discretionary bonuses; Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
