The role supports episodic production by delivering clean, final approved character designs that match the show’s established style and storytelling needs.
What you'll do
- Create character turnarounds, special poses, mouth charts, and expression sheets, delivering a clean pass of final approved designs.
- Work with the Art Director to review storyboards and identify characters that need to be designed for each episode.
- Maintain the show’s established quality and style as set by the Executive Producer and Art Director.
- Prepare and package character designs for shipment to overseas vendor animation studios.
- Partner with the Art Director to resolve design issues while meeting deadlines.
- Follow the production schedule provided by the Line Producer to support timely, cost-effective production.
Requirements
- Ability to design and create a variety of characters, including turnarounds, mouth charts, expression sheets, and special poses.
- Ability to align with the style and sensibility of a show.
- Ability to translate reference into 2D or 3D art.
- Knowledge of drawing software including Photoshop and Illustrator; familiarity with 3D technology where applicable.
- Positive attitude with flexibility.
- Excellent organizational, verbal, written, and e-social communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Conditions
- Fully on-site role.
- Location: Glendale, California.
- Compensation stated as an hourly rate under a Collective Bargaining Agreement pay scale.
