Summary

The HR Generalist will run day-to-day People Operations, serving as the primary HR contact to support employees and managers while enabling strategic initiatives. This role helps ensure a smooth employee experience and supports a positive culture in a remote-first environment.

What you'll do

  • Manage core HR operations and provide ongoing employee support

  • Support managers with leadership development initiatives, coaching, and people management tools

  • Coordinate compliance training, certifications, and mandatory programs

  • Administer benefits programs, including enrollment support and responding to employee inquiries

  • Oversee onboarding for new hires and offboarding for departing employees

  • Partner with external HR/People resources to streamline workflows and divide responsibilities

  • Identify gaps in HR processes and implement practical, scalable improvements

  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure adherence to legal and compliance standards

Requirements

  • Proven HR Generalist experience, preferably in growing or scaling remote and hybrid startup tech companies

  • Strong understanding of HR operations, compliance, and people management programs

  • Experience supporting managers with leadership development initiatives

  • Knowledge of employee lifecycle management, including onboarding and offboarding processes

  • Familiarity with benefits administration and employee engagement programs

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and own execution

  • Seattle-based or willing to work in the Seattle area
