Full-Stack Software Engineer (Python)

KaaIoT is seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer (Python) to join a fast-paced, highly autonomous team. The role focuses on designing and delivering full-stack features using Python, PostgreSQL, React, and TypeScript, with emphasis on building reliable, scalable systems that integrate seamlessly across the stack.

• Design, build and deliver full-stack features using Python, PostgreSQL, React and TypeScript
• Take ownership of features from initial ideas to production, including clarifying requirements, technical design, implementation, testing, deployment and monitoring
• Design and maintain integration-heavy backend services, collaborating with other teams and consuming internal APIs
• Work closely with Apache Airflow pipelines and ensure seamless integration with backend services
• Design and implement scalable backend systems using PostgreSQL
• Build and maintain infrastructure using Terraform, Kubernetes, and Helm
• Proactively identify risks, dependencies and gaps in requirements, and drive solutions independently
• Collaborate with team members in regular syncs and participate in code reviews and design discussions

• Proficiency with React and TypeScript for frontend development
• Strong backend development experience with Python and PostgreSQL, including schema design and migrations (SQLAlchemy + Alembic)
• Deep understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven systems (Python async, background processing, integrations)
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools and hands-on experience with Apache Airflow, including DAGs and backend integrations
• Experience building or designing data pipelines, including orchestration, data processing and integrations (batch and/or streaming)
• Build and maintain infrastructure using Terraform, Kubernetes and Helm
• Experience deploying and operating services on Kubernetes, including maintaining Helm charts
• Ability to work highly autonomously, proactively clarify requirements and drive work forward with minimal supervision
• Strong communication skills and experience working in distributed teams
• Nice-to-Have: Familiarity with FastAPI, Experience with Bazel build system, Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Prior experience in environments with limited product management and high ownership

Distributed team environment with high autonomy and ownership. Work involves full-stack development spanning backend services, Airflow-driven workflows, infrastructure and frontend.
