Summary

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will act as a strategic advisor to leaders in a high-growth government contracting environment, aligning human capital initiatives with business goals.
What you'll do
- Serve as the primary HR partner to business leaders, aligning people strategies with operational priorities and growth objectives
- Collaborate with department heads to understand business goals and develop integrated HR strategies
- Provide consultative guidance on workforce planning, talent management, employee engagement, and leadership development
- Ensure compliance with HR policies and employment laws (including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, OFCCP, EEO, and applicable federal/state/local regulations)
- Advise and coach leaders on employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, performance improvement plans, and disciplinary actions
- Support organizational design, change management, and workforce transitions (reorganizations, onboarding, offboarding)
- Lead and support performance management processes (goal setting, coaching, mid-year reviews, annual evaluations, development planning)
- Identify workforce and business needs and partner with Centers of Excellence and cross-functional stakeholders to implement solutions
- Analyze HR metrics and trends to provide data-driven insights and recommendations
- Partner with the Director of HRBPs to implement and sustain HCM initiatives aligned with corporate growth plans
- Lead or contribute to HR initiatives and projects focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence
- Supervise and mentor other HR team members as needed
Requirements
- 6+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including at least 2 years in an HR Business Partner or consultative HR capacity
- 6+ years of HR experience supporting government contracting organizations
- Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and organizational development frameworks
- Ability to influence, collaborate, and build trusted partnerships with leaders and stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to thrive in dynamic, evolving environments; strong strategic thinking and sound judgment
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to resolve conflict and solve problems
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced setting
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Preferred: Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and organizational integration
- Preferred: HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR)
