Summary
GlobalLogic is seeking a Junior AQA Engineer specializing in Selenium to join a team working for a major home entertainment consumer electronics company. The role focuses on automation testing of video and audio content and services via digital media players using a custom test automation framework.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Python and Selenium
- Develop new automated tests and improve existing ones through refactoring, stability, and performance enhancements
- Analyze test failures, identify root causes, and reduce flaky tests
- Participate in automation strategy discussions on what and how to automate
- Review automation code and ensure best practices are followed
- Extend automation coverage across UI and API levels
- Integrate and maintain automated tests in CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate with Manual QA, Developers, and Product teams
- Create and maintain technical documentation for automation solutions
- Mentor junior automation engineers and share best practices
- Communicate with international teams in the US
Requirements
- 1+ years of hands-on experience in Python Web Automation testing
- Strong practical experience with Selenium WebDriver
- Experience writing and maintaining automated tests within existing frameworks
- Solid understanding and practical usage of Page Object Model (POM) pattern
- Basic understanding of test automation architecture principles
- Basic experience or understanding of API testing (REST, JSON, HTTP)
- Basic understanding of CI/CD processes (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI experience is a plus)
- Confident working knowledge of Git (clone, branch, merge, pull requests)
- Basic working knowledge of Linux/Unix systems
- Understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and defect lifecycle
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Intermediate level English for working in international team
- Basic practical experience with AI tools to support test automation is a plus
