Junior AQA Engineer (Selenium)

GlobalLogic is seeking a Junior AQA Engineer specializing in Selenium to join a team working for a major home entertainment consumer electronics company. The role focuses on automation testing of video and audio content and services via digital media players using a custom test automation framework.

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Python and Selenium
• Develop new automated tests and improve existing ones through refactoring, stability, and performance enhancements
• Analyze test failures, identify root causes, and reduce flaky tests
• Participate in automation strategy discussions on what and how to automate
• Review automation code and ensure best practices are followed
• Extend automation coverage across UI and API levels
• Integrate and maintain automated tests in CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate with Manual QA, Developers, and Product teams
• Create and maintain technical documentation for automation solutions
• Mentor junior automation engineers and share best practices
• Communicate with international teams in the US

• 1+ years of hands-on experience in Python Web Automation testing
• Strong practical experience with Selenium WebDriver
• Experience writing and maintaining automated tests within existing frameworks
• Solid understanding and practical usage of Page Object Model (POM) pattern
• Basic understanding of test automation architecture principles
• Basic experience or understanding of API testing (REST, JSON, HTTP)
• Basic understanding of CI/CD processes (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI experience is a plus)
• Confident working knowledge of Git (clone, branch, merge, pull requests)
• Basic working knowledge of Linux/Unix systems
• Understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and defect lifecycle
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Intermediate level English for working in international team
• Basic practical experience with AI tools to support test automation is a plus
