Summary
Jefferies is a global investment banking and capital markets firm providing advisory, sales and trading, research, and wealth and asset management services. The Financial Strategy & Project Management Associate supports financial planning and analysis while overseeing delivery of technology initiatives across investment and operational workflows. The role exists to strengthen financial modeling, improve processes, and align stakeholders to execute projects that support portfolio management and reporting needs.
What you'll do
Support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of financial models.
Source, validate, and evaluate data for annual budgets, long-range planning, and monthly forecasts.
Continuously improve financial processes and analytical tools to meet evolving internal stakeholder needs.
Contribute to investor relations materials, including financial presentations and performance summaries.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Oversee end-to-end delivery of technology initiatives (e.g., portfolio management tools, trading workflows, data workflows, OMS/PMS integration, regulatory reporting tools).
Develop project plans, timelines, and roadmaps; manage scope, risks, dependencies, and budgets.
Maintain clear communication and drive alignment among portfolio managers, risk, operations, compliance, and technology leadership.
Requirements
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and financial software applications.
Knowledge of financial statement analysis.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication skills; ability to execute in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to identify operational inefficiencies and propose solutions.
Experience with project management, SDLC, and Agile methodologies.
Knowledge of asset classes such as equities, options, and futures.
Experience managing project finances (POs, invoicing, vendor relations).
Strong time management and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred: strong understanding of IT infrastructure and technical areas (network, server, storage, security).
