Principal Backend Engineer (Platform Tribe)

Playson is a leading iGaming supplier founded in 2012, providing a high-end microservice-based platform-as-a-service that processes billions of financial transactions daily. We are seeking a Principal Backend Engineer to develop cutting-edge solutions where milliseconds matter, focusing on high availability, lowest latency, and efficient resource usage.

• Develop brand new features with a distributed team and propose innovative ideas
• Develop scalable high-load systems with financial results responsibility
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure system reliability and availability
• Conduct code and architectural reviews
• Take a proactive position in solution development and process improvements
• Handle complex business problems and provide field support with creative solutions

Required:

• Solid experience with Node.js/TypeScript or other OOP languages (Java, Python, C++, C#, Go)
• Strong understanding of asynchronous approaches
• Experience with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Experience in distributed systems
• Knowledge of RDBMs (MySQL, PostgreSQL), CDBMs (Redshift, ClickHouse), and NoSQL (DynamoDB, MongoDB)
• Experience writing e2e and unit tests
• Proven track record developing production-ready solutions

Preferred:

• Understanding of enterprise development patterns
• Experience with large-scale microservices architecture
• Cloud provider experience (AWS, GCP)
• Kubernetes expertise
• Active performance observation
• iGaming domain experience
• Application security knowledge and industry best practices
• Computer Science degree or related field
