Summary
LinkedIn is hiring a Product Designer to help create inclusive, modern, and accessible experiences that support its mission of creating economic opportunity for the global workforce. This role partners closely with research, product, engineering, marketing, and data science to deliver user-centered design solutions across LinkedIn’s consumer and enterprise products.
What you'll do
- Communicate conceptual ideas, design rationale, and the specifics of a user-centered design process.
- Create holistic design solutions that address business, brand, and user requirements.
- Collaborate with web developers and engineers to deliver final products.
- Partner cross-functionally with user research, UX writing, product management, engineering, marketing, and data science throughout the design and delivery process.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in graphic design, design communication, human-computer interaction, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience participating in the complete product development lifecycle of web and/or software applications.
- 2+ years of experience in user experience design (or equivalent industry experience in corporate, software, web, or agency settings).
- Ability to deliver small to medium-scale projects independently and/or own components of larger projects with support.
- Ability to influence decisions by actively engaging and adding value in team discussions.
- Ability to deliver solutions for structured problems with few dependencies.
- Ability to design end-to-end user flows and consider impacts on adjacent experiences.
- Ability to identify opportunities to extend design system language.
- Portfolio, website, or other work samples required.
Conditions
- Work model: Hybrid (work from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days as determined by business needs).
- Location options: Mountain View or San Francisco.
- Compensation: Pay range stated as $101,000 to $165,000 per year; total compensation may include annual performance bonus, stock, and benefits.
