HR Director- Retail

Summary

SKIMS is a global apparel brand creating technically innovative, comfort-driven essentials and scaling its retail presence worldwide. The HR Director - Retail will lead HR strategy and employee relations across the retail network to support business objectives and cultivate an inclusive, high-performance culture.

What you'll do

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with overall business goals and retail priorities.
  • Lead and guide the HR team in delivering effective people services.
  • Create retention strategies to strengthen workplace culture and reduce turnover.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers on employee relations matters.
  • Implement and enforce HR policies and procedures and ensure legal compliance.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs.
  • Foster continuous learning and skill enhancement across the retail organization.
  • Partner with compensation and benefits leadership to ensure market competitiveness.
  • Review and update compensation structures periodically.
  • Implement performance management processes, including goal-setting, feedback, and improvement plans.
  • Execute diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives in partnership with corporate and leadership.
  • Monitor employment laws and regulations and address HR-related legal matters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Master’s degree or HR certification (SHRM or HRCI) is a plus.

  • Proven experience as an HR leader.

  • Experience in the retail industry.

  • In-depth knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.

  • Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive HR initiatives that support business objectives.

  • Experience fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
