Head of Technology / CTO

Softsich is a young and ambitious international product tech company developing scalable B2B digital platforms. We are seeking an experienced Head of Technology/CTO to define technical vision, build scalable architecture, and ensure reliability and security of complex distributed systems. This role involves guiding technical strategy and transforming ambitious ideas into stable, high-performing platforms.

• Define technical solutions, vision and roadmap for company projects
• Own platform architecture and direction of technical department
• Standardize, implement, and enforce software development processes (Scrum/Kanban, TDD, CI/CD, QA)
• Ensure team growth, motivation, and career progression; resolve internal conflicts
• Deliver industry best standards of product stability and reliability
• Ensure quality and correctness of developed software
• Communicate with other Business Units, 3rd party providers and clients
• Provide technical and business reports to management
• Ensure regulatory requirements and compliance procedures are met
• Manage incident responses and root cause analysis for major outages
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
• Oversee cybersecurity measures and system security

• 8+ years of software engineering experience in building and scaling complex platforms
• 3+ years of experience in architecture leadership role or as CTO
• Strong experience with Java or Node.js backend development and microservice architectures
• Solid understanding of modern frontend architecture, particularly React-based applications
• Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS or Azure)
• Proven experience designing and operating high-load distributed systems
• Strong understanding of system architecture, API design, and integration patterns
• Experience implementing observability practices (monitoring, logging, tracing)
• Experience with DevOps practices and infrastructure as code
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with CIO and product leadership

Schedule & Location: Flexible schedule, remote or offices in Warsaw/Kyiv
