HR Assistant
Summary
United Medical Systems, a provider of medical imaging services, is hiring an HR Assistant to support day-to-day HR operations. The role focuses on payroll support, credentialing, onboarding, and maintaining employee records to keep HR processes accurate, compliant, and efficient.
What you'll do
Maintain accurate HR files, records, and documentation in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Respond to common applicant/employee questions about policies, benefits, and hiring; escalate complex issues to senior HR staff or management.
Ensure confidentiality and integrity of HR records and data.
Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation, including employment paperwork and benefits enrollment.
Provide clerical/administrative support including payroll processing assistance and credentialing support.
Assist payroll functions such as data entry, generating reports, and addressing employee inquiries regarding compensation and benefits.
Cover the front reception desk as needed and represent HR professionally to visitors and callers.
Support credentialing for field employees by helping maintain vendor-system compliance and tracking expiring documents.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
1–3 years of experience in HR and/or payroll environments.
Ability to handle sensitive/confidential information with tact and professionalism.
Experience with UKG Ready or similar payroll software preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related software tools.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Conditions
Full-time, non-exempt position.
On-site role based in Westborough.
