Team Lead, Mortgage Production Assistant

Zillow Home Loans is hiring a Mortgage Production Assistant (MPA) Team Lead to help deliver a best-in-class mortgage experience for customers. This role leads and supports a team responsible for pre-screening and preparing loan files to meet submission requirements before underwriting, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance.

• Onboard and train new hires for the MPA team
• Provide daily support and guidance to MPA coordinators
• Identify training opportunities and coach the team to improve performance
• Review, prepare, and submit complete loan files for underwriting review
• Evaluate files to determine missing documents and actions to streamline the loan process
• Review income documentation, AUS findings, credit documentation, and other required underwriting materials
• Operate in compliance with applicable lending guidelines and regulatory requirements
• Communicate closely with Loan Officers to ensure submissions are accurate and complete
• Maintain confidentiality and privacy of customer and employee information

• 1–2 years of prior mortgage experience across major loan types (Conventional, FHA, USDA, VA) preferred

• Knowledge of mortgage terms

• Familiarity with Encompass (LOS) and Microsoft Office (plus)

• Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent organizational and written/verbal communication skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality with private and sensitive information

• Available to work overtime as necessary

• Remote role; U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States (limited exceptions)

• Pay range varies by state; example ranges include $27.60–$44.00/hour and $26.20–$41.80/hour depending on location

• Compensation varies based on experience, performance, and location
