Senior Data Engineer

CrunchCode is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for a staff augmentation role supporting a digital transformation initiative in the education sector. The role involves building data infrastructure and agentic tools for an organization transitioning to modern data practices.

• Perform data migration to Snowflake/dbt using AI-native development tools (Cursor/Claude) with clean SQL/Python code
• Optimize initial user experience post-conversion and focus on deepening user engagement
• Run experiments to iterate on sign-up and product experience
• Work on business-critical logistics systems with direct impact on operations

• SQL, dbt Cloud/pipelines, Snowflake, Python
• Experience with data migration projects
• Proficiency in AI-native development tools (Cursor/Claude)
• Strong SQL and Python skills
• Experience with dbt and cloud data warehousing
