Summary
Thea Energy is a hard-tech fusion company reinventing the stellarator to enable commercial fusion energy. The Supply Chain Manager will own end-to-end procurement and supplier management while integrating supply chain planning with FP&A to ensure critical equipment and materials arrive on time and on budget.
What you'll do
- Own the procurement process from requisition to payment to ensure timely availability of critical equipment, materials, and supplies.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize procurement processes.
- Identify, evaluate, and manage supplier/vendor relationships, including negotiating contracts and terms.
- Collaborate with engineering, prototyping, and finance teams to forecast demand across projects.
- Analyze prototyping spend, provide insights and recommendations, and lead cost-reduction initiatives.
- Monitor supplier performance and take corrective actions to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets.
- Support finance with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Finance and Strategy team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of supply chain management experience and a related degree.
- Experience in supply chain management, procurement, and finance in a hard-tech environment.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Advanced proficiency with supply chain tools/software, Excel, and PowerPoint for analysis and reporting.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, including integrating supply chain activities with project timelines and FP&A.
- Proven success negotiating with and managing a diverse supplier base.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Experience with budget management, financial analysis, and supporting finance functions.
- Ability to take initiative, work independently, and work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to occasionally lift objects up to 50 lbs.
Conditions
Salary range: $85,000–$150,000 per year.
