Finance Generalist

Summary

Syndicode is a value-driven software development partner seeking a Finance Generalist to take full ownership of the finance function and serve as a true business partner to leadership. The role covers the complete financial spectrum including planning, project economics, invoicing, payroll, reporting, and compliance with real influence over financial processes and business decisions.

What you'll do

  • Own the company's financial planning cycle: annual budgeting, monthly reforecasting, and revenue, cost, and margin projections at the client level
  • Manage the full billing process: contract review, billing model setup, invoice issuance, accounts receivable tracking, and payment reconciliation
  • Oversee project finances: budget setup, cost allocation, rate card management, margin calculations, and profitability assessment
  • Handle accounts payable end-to-end: vendor validation, purchase request processing, invoice verification, expense categorization, and payment execution
  • Manage payroll and contractor payments: consolidate timesheets, calculate salaries, bonuses, commissions, and contractor fees
  • Lead monthly financial close and prepare core reporting: P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow statements, KPI dashboards, and variance analysis
  • Collaborate with accountants on tax reporting accuracy and legal compliance
  • Maintain financial systems: administer QuickBooks/TOConline, manage bank accounts, and document processes

Requirements

  • 3+ years in finance role covering operational and analytical responsibilities
  • Strong command of financial statements: P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow
  • Hands-on experience with AR/AP, invoicing, payroll, and contractor payments
  • Experience with project-level financial management, ideally in IT services or agency context
  • Comfortable with accounting systems (QuickBooks, TOConline, or similar)
  • Structured, detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical skills
  • English B2+ proficiency
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, or related field
