Head of Payments Operations

Fast-growing fintech group operating across crypto, regulated financial services, and e-commerce seeks a senior payments leader. The Head of Payments Operations will lead and scale a payments team while owning long-term relationships with banks, EMIs, PSPs, and APMs across multiple entities and jurisdictions.

• Lead, manage, and develop the Payments team with clear ownership and performance standards
• Hire and onboard additional team members as the organization scales
• Own and maintain senior relationships with banks, EMIs, PSPs, and APM providers
• Act as primary escalation point for operational and capacity matters
• Oversee payment infrastructure for crypto-related activities and coordinate with Legal and Compliance
• Lead PSP, APM, and B2B banking setup across multiple e-commerce entities
• Ensure strong approval ratios, local payment coverage, and replace underperforming providers
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Business Development, and Product teams
• Build stable, long-term relationships with key banking and payment partners
• Ensure operational readiness for regulatory expansion including MiCA licensing

• Senior payments professional with proven team leadership experience
• Strong background in fintech, banking, PSPs, and regulated environments
• Comfortable operating in crypto and higher-risk contexts
• Confident external-facing communicator
• Execution-driven, structured, and decisive approach
• Experience with MSB structures and MiCA licensing preparation

Co-lead position designed to progress into full ownership of the Payments Department. Role operates at the intersection of operations, business development, and regulation with exposure to multi-entity e-commerce operations across jurisdictions.
