Summary
Luxoft is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to drive technical decision-making and architectural direction for the NeoLoad product team. In this role, you will own the tactical execution of the engineering roadmap, stay hands-on with critical codebase contributions, and lead a team across distributed SaaS systems spanning test execution engines, integrations, and enterprise UIs.
What you'll do
- Drive technical decision-making for the team: define architectural patterns, evaluate technology choices, and ensure decisions are well-reasoned, documented, and socialised
- Own the tactical execution of the team's engineering roadmap — break down ambiguous problems into well-scoped work, maintain delivery momentum, and proactively surface risks
- Contribute to critical parts of the codebase, lead by example in code quality and engineering practices, and take ownership of complex technical problems
- Collaborate with Product and UX from discovery through delivery — challenge requirements and propose better solutions
- Work across the NeoLoad product and platform spanning core test execution engines, integrations, and UIs
- Set and uphold engineering standards across the team: code reviews, design reviews, testing discipline, and operational readiness
- Lead production incident response for the team — coordinate investigation and resolution, and own post-incident reviews
- Act as a technical bridge between the team and broader engineering organisation — align on cross-team dependencies and platform direction
Requirements
- 7+ years overall experience as a Software Engineer
- 4+ years on similar technology stack (TypeScript/React frontend, Java and Spring or similar backend)
- At least 2 years working with SaaS applications, API and microservices development
- Proven experience driving technical architecture in distributed, event-driven SaaS systems
- Solid experience with API and microservices development and distributed, event-driven SaaS architecture
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and application security fundamentals
- Good experience with relational databases (MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB)
- Familiarity with build pipelines, CI/CD, and frontend/backend tooling
- English: B2 Upper Intermediate
- Nice to have: Deep understanding of HTML/CSS/JS fundamentals
