Android Engineer

Keyo is pioneering next-generation identity infrastructure using privacy-centric palm recognition technology and decentralized identity solutions. As an Android Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable mobile applications for mobile wallets and identity solutions while working with an international, cross-functional team.

• Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable Android applications with focus on mobile wallets and identity solutions
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices and architectural guidelines
• Implement intuitive UI/UX experiences using Jetpack Compose, optimizing for performance and usability
• Design, develop, and maintain Kotlin Multiplatform applications
• Follow and implement industry best practices for security, data protection, and encryption
• Ensure compliance with security standards for handling sensitive user information
• Work with backend teams to integrate secure authentication and payment solutions
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure app reliability and maintainability
• Optimize application performance across various Android devices

• 3+ years of experience in Android development building production-level applications
• Proficiency in Kotlin/Java and Android SDK
• Experience working with mobile wallets, payment systems, or identity-related applications
• Strong understanding of security best practices including encryption, secure storage, and authentication protocols
• Familiarity with Jetpack components, MVVM architecture, and dependency injection frameworks (Hilt/Dagger)
• Experience with RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and real-time data synchronization
• Knowledge of local storage solutions
• Curious and open to learning with willingness to explore new technologies
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working with international, remote-friendly team across different time zones
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Preferred: Biometric authentication experience, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, DevOps tools, digital identity, or decentralized technologies knowledge
