Retail Logistics Manager
Summary
Skylight is a consumer technology startup creating simple products that improve family life, with operations across the U.S. and globally. The Retail Logistics Manager (Club Channels) will own day-to-day execution and scaling of global retail fulfillment operations for wholesale club partners. This role ensures accurate, on-time deliveries and high customer satisfaction by managing 3PLs, carriers, systems, and cross-functional coordination.
What you'll do
Develop and execute global fulfillment strategies to optimize delivery performance, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction across U.S. and international markets (OTIF).
Develop, monitor, and report KPIs for fulfillment operations (delivery times, costs, accuracy).
Design and implement automated fulfillment processes, systems, tools, and reporting in collaboration with regional stakeholders.
Track incoming shipments and quantities; analyze inventory levels vs. retailer on-hand, sell-through, planned orders, and inbound shipments to identify gaps or surplus.
Communicate with retailer partners and inventory teams regarding planned future orders and open shipments.
Establish and maintain relationships with 3PL warehouses, transportation brokers, and carriers (FTL, LTL).
Manage 3PL fulfillment for wholesale accounts, including creating SOPs for each retailer.
Monitor order processing lead times; troubleshoot and escalate critical issues (missed appointments, missed ship dates, late deliveries) to meet retailer criteria.
Oversee and directly manage booking of appointments with 3PLs, freight forwarders, and wholesale customers.
Execute EDI documents (850 Purchase Order, 856 Advanced Ship Notice, 810 Invoice) to ensure accurate, timely customer communication.
Maintain NetSuite as the order management system of record; move orders through intake/validation, 3PL allocation, and customer delivery phases.
Directly manage escalations for late POs or missed appointments.
Lead dispute resolution for shipment penalties, order errors, and retailer fees, including gathering documentation and submitting via retailer portals.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives across global fulfillment operations.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
4+ years of experience in retail fulfillment operations and/or supply chain management.
Demonstrated experience managing fulfillment and delivery operations with 3PLs to retailers.
Proven experience managing fulfillment for Costco, Walmart, and Sam's Club.
Experience with outbound transportation management and broker/carrier negotiations.
Proficiency using warehouse management systems (WMS).
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision-making.
Excellent project management skills, including leading cross-cultural teams.
