Leadership Coach
Summary
Upbeat partners with K-12 districts to run research-grounded surveys and provide toolkits and interventions that improve school culture, teacher engagement, and retention. The Leadership Coach supports principals and district leaders by presenting survey results and turning insights into data-backed action plans to strengthen school environments.
What you'll do
Present engagement, culture, and climate survey results and data to district leaders and principals.
Deliver targeted 1:1 coaching sessions with principals to interpret results and build actionable improvement plans.
Collaborate with other leadership coaches to capture best practices and develop resources for principals and district leaders.
Take high-quality consultation notes and send follow-up emails summarizing decisions and next steps.
Support sales and marketing by co-presenting to prospective clients and traveling to conferences and local events for district administrators (e.g., superintendents, principals, HR).
Requirements
Experience as a school principal and/or district administrator.
Experience coaching principals on academics and/or school culture.
Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively in a team environment.
Excellent communication skills, including presenting data clearly and summarizing next steps succinctly via presentations and email.
Creative problem-solving skills and ability to develop non-traditional solutions.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
Comfort with ambiguity; flexibility, resilience, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, fluid environment.
Conditions
Travel required for conferences and localized events.
Includes client-facing presentations, coaching sessions, and collaboration with sales and marketing.
