Senior/Lead Data Engineer (Python/AWS)

GlobalLogic is seeking a Senior/Lead Data Engineer to join their Health Applications & Interoperability team, focused on delivering Insight-Driven Care through next-generation health capabilities. The role involves designing and maintaining scalable data solutions using AWS cloud services while working on patient engagement, care coordination, AI, healthcare analytics, and interoperability initiatives.

• Design, build, and manage ETL pipelines using AWS services (Glue, Lambda, EMR, Redshift, S3)
• Develop and maintain data architecture including data lakes, warehouses, and databases on AWS
• Implement data quality and governance solutions
• Automate data workflows and monitor pipeline health
• Ensure data security and compliance with company policies
• Develop APIs using AWS services in scalable, microservices-based architecture
• Identify system functionality or performance deficiencies and execute corrective changes
• Test system functionality and maintain data integrity and storage
• Strategically design technology solutions meeting company and customer goals
• Ensure system implementation compliance with regulatory standards (HIPAA, SOC II, ISO27001)
• Perform system maintenance and performance optimization

• Proficiency with AWS cloud services, especially data-related offerings (S3, Glue, Redshift, Athena, EMR, Kinesis, Lambda)
• Strong SQL and Python skills
• Experience with ETL tools and frameworks
• Familiarity with data modelling and warehousing concepts
• Knowledge of data security, access management, and AWS best practices
• Ability to document detailed technical system specifications based on business requirements
• Preferred: AWS certifications (AWS Certified Data Analytics Specialty, AWS Certified Solutions Architect)
• Preferred: Background in software engineering or data science
• Preferred: Hands-on experience with Oracle Database and log-based Change Data Capture (CDC) replication using AWS DMS
