HR Coordinator
Summary
The N2 Company, America’s leading publisher of community magazines, is hiring an HR Coordinator to support a compliant, data-driven, and people-focused People Operations function. Reporting to the HR Manager, this role focuses on HR compliance, compensation-related administration support, people analytics, and operational excellence across HR systems and programs.
What you'll do
Support multi-state HR compliance by assisting with required filings, audits, and regulatory processes (including EEO reporting, ACA lookback, paid leave tracking, salary threshold monitoring, and employment posting requirements).
Own the onboarding experience, including pre-boarding logistics (background checks, drug testing, I-9), new-hire communications, state compliance steps, system setup, and orientation/training through the first 30–60 days.
Maintain HR data integrity across systems (including Paylocity and monday.com) and ensure employee records and compliance documentation are accurate and up to date.
Assist with performance management cycles by supporting system setup, reporting, and data integrity monitoring for annual and mid-year reviews.
Support the HR Manager and Benefits Specialist with preparation, planning, and execution of annual Open Enrollment.
Requirements
1+ year of experience in Human Resources, People Operations, or a related field.
Foundational understanding of HR compliance and employment regulations.
Experience with HRIS systems and/or data management platforms (e.g., Paylocity).
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high data accuracy.
Strong organizational skills and project coordination abilities.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
Proactive mindset with desire to learn and grow within HR operations.
Nice to have: franchisee model experience; experience supporting 100+ W-2 employees; multi-state compliance experience; familiarity with Mailchimp, Asana, monday.com, Slack, Google Workspace, Zoom, Canva, and Lucid.
Conditions

Starting salary: $50,000 per year with opportunities for growth and advancement.
