Part-Time Human Resources Specialist (Fully Remote)

Summary

Ottit is a full-service accounting firm serving 100+ fast-growth Shopify and SaaS brands. They're seeking a Part-Time Human Resources Specialist to build and own the HR function from the ground up for their 40+ person distributed team across four countries.

What you'll do

Support full-cycle recruitment including job postings, applicant screening, and interview coordination; conduct streamlined onboarding and offboarding processes; maintain personnel records and assist with global contractor administration; prepare HR documentation including contracts and notices; provide operational support for performance management cycles; contribute to culture-building and engagement initiatives; handle day-to-day HR operations; build and refine lean HR processes and SOPs.

Requirements

3-5+ years of HR, People Operations, HR Coordinator, HR Administrator, or early HR Generalist experience, ideally in remote-first environments; hands-on experience managing international contractors and multi-country compliance; familiarity with Deel, Wise, Slack, Google Workspace, and Hubstaff; experience supporting distributed international teams; familiarity with performance-management systems; strong organizational skills, communication, and attention to detail; comfort in remote asynchronous environments; ability to handle sensitive information with discretion; tech-savvy and quick learner. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in HR, Psychology, or related field; SHRM CP/SCP or HRCI Certification; experience scaling HR from 30-100+ team members.

Conditions

Part-time position, approximately 15-25 hours per week, fully remote. Must be available during EST business hours (Monday-Friday) with flexibility on hour distribution. Requirements: minimum 100 Mbps internet, dual monitors, 1080p webcam, noise-cancelling headset/microphone.
