Human Resources Coordinator
Summary
Solomon Page is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to support a client team with core HR operations, data management, benefits, payroll coordination, and employee support. The role helps ensure accurate HRIS/benefits/payroll records and a smooth employee lifecycle from onboarding through separation. It also includes supporting compliance activities and handling lower-level recruitment as needed.
What you'll do
Maintain accurate employee data by entering, tracking, and updating changes in HRIS and benefits systems.
Manage data entry across HRIS, Benefits, and Payroll systems.
Support HR administrative tasks, employee support needs, and HR project implementations.
Coordinate with benefits brokers and carriers; assist employees with benefit questions and issue resolution.
Partner with Accounts Payable to oversee monthly benefits invoices and related expenses.
Serve as a day-to-day liaison with payroll and accounts payable, responding to inquiries and processing reimbursements.
Handle employment verifications for current and former employees.
Support new hire processing by preparing packets and ensuring Certinal e-signature paperwork is completed, accurate, and properly filed.
Assist with testing and readiness activities related to a new HRIS system implementation.
Deliver new hire orientation covering company policies, procedures, and benefits.
Administer offer packages and coordinate background checks and drug test processes.
Help coordinate onboarding and separation processes.
Complete and maintain electronic I-9 documentation for new hires.
Develop familiarity with compliance requirements across federal, state, and local laws.
Manage full-cycle recruitment for lower-level roles (up to approximately 20% of the role), such as manufacturing and customer service positions.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
At least 1 year of HR experience required (3–5 years preferred).
Experience with UKG and/or Workday strongly preferred.
Ability to support the HR team across a variety of tasks and priorities.
High attention to detail.
Strong presentation skills for delivering new hire orientation.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Conditions
Hybrid role based in the Iselin, NJ office.
Temporary assignment expected to last 6 to 12 months, with possible extension.
Pay rate: $28/hour.
