Remote Lead $7.9k–$15.6k/moest.

Summary

9amHealth is a San Diego-based cardiometabolic care company focused on preventing and treating obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol through custom care plans, prescriptions, and expert guidance. The Chief of Staff partners with the COO, Co-CEOs, and senior leadership to translate strategy into aligned execution, measurable performance, and disciplined accountability across the organization.

What you'll do

  • Translate company strategy into clear, measurable objectives in partnership with the COO, Co-CEOs, and Senior Leadership Team.

  • Pressure-test strategic plans using data and operational insights to ensure feasibility and alignment.

  • Ensure executive alignment prior to cascading initiatives to the broader organization; clarify ownership, timelines, and success metrics.

  • Architect and own the company-wide goal-setting framework and operating system that links strategy to measurable outcomes.

  • Establish and run weekly, monthly, and quarterly business review cadences to drive transparency, performance discussions, and decision-making.

  • Ensure each executive leader has visible KPIs tied to company objectives with clear ownership and defined success metrics.

  • Design and maintain dashboards providing decision-enabling insights across Commercial, Clinical, Product, and Operations.

  • Create and maintain operating rhythms (executive forums, quarterly planning, company-wide updates) that drive clarity and momentum.

  • Document and make accessible company priorities, performance against goals, and key decisions to improve asynchronous visibility and reduce meeting load.

  • Lead high-priority, time-sensitive cross-functional initiatives on behalf of the COO/Co-CEOs; align stakeholders, remove blockers, manage timelines, and ensure execution discipline.

  • Serve as executive sponsor for cross-functional initiatives until durable functional ownership is established; stand up lightweight PMO capabilities as needed.

  • Partner with Commercial leadership and RevOps (or establish interim structure) to improve forecasting accuracy, contract tracking, and revenue visibility.

  • Improve consistency and actionability of commercial reporting, including pipeline health, revenue performance, and growth drivers.

  • Maximize COO leverage by translating decisions into coordinated execution, preparing materials for investors/board/partners, and ensuring operational follow-through.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in high-growth environments (strategy, consulting, business operations, or operational leadership).

  • Demonstrated experience building operating cadences, KPI frameworks, and accountability systems at scale.

  • Strong executive presence with the ability to constructively challenge senior leaders.

  • Proven ability to drive cross-functional initiatives in ambiguous environments.

  • Analytical fluency and comfort using data to inform decision-making.

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to bring clarity to complex situations.

  • High emotional intelligence, discretion, and resilience.

Conditions

  • Work with a global, distributed team; physical sites include San Diego, California and Vienna, Austria.

  • Work from home options and flexible PTO.

  • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance.

  • Professional development budget and support for continuing education.

  • Startup environment with experienced founders; small, flexible team and mission-driven culture.

  • Commitment to diversity and inclusion; welcomes applicants from underrepresented groups.
