Summary

Lexeo Therapeutics is a clinical-stage genetic medicine company headquartered in New York City developing cardiac genetic medicine candidates for inherited cardiovascular diseases. The Director, Corporate Finance partners closely with the CFO and Controlling team to lead FP&A, capital allocation modeling, and decision-support analytics. The role enables resource planning and financial rigor to support operational success and strategic priorities.

What you'll do

  • Provide full financial support for department budgets and G&A costs.
  • Develop and manage complex financial models for investment opportunities, scenario analysis, and ROI evaluation.
  • Define and evaluate optimal capital structures and resource allocation across the organization.
  • Support monthly and quarterly accounting review and the financial close process as needed.
  • Track progress against financial goals; proactively elevate issues in a timely and transparent manner.
  • Manage implementation of FP&A tools as required.
  • Lead long-term financial planning and support strategies to access capital markets.
  • Contribute to a high-performance culture through leadership and communication with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Articulate a vision and strategy for the finance function to align people, resources, and stakeholders.
  • Support and lead finance process improvements to adapt to a dynamic business environment.
  • Business partner with Project Management, Clinical Operations, Preclinical, CMC, Business Development, and G&A teams to increase transparency into the company’s financial position.

Requirements

  • Education: BA or BS in Finance/Accounting; MBA and/or CPA preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum 10 years (or 8 years with a Master’s degree) in accounting/financial roles, including at least 5 years in biopharmaceutical and/or medical devices.

  • Strong capability in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.

  • Exceptional analytical skills with ability to synthesize details into the broader business picture.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and interact effectively with all levels of the organization.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication; able to explain financial concepts to varied audiences.

  • Highly motivated self-starter with ownership mindset.

  • ERP systems development/implementation/lifecycle management experience is a plus.

Conditions

  • Work model: Hybrid, with 2 days per week in the New York City office and 3 days per week working from home.

  • Candidate location: Open to candidates across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic.
