Summary
Nathan S. Kline Institute for Psychiatric Research (in collaboration with NYU School of Medicine) is hiring a Research Assistant to join the Epigenetics and System Neuroscience laboratory led by Dr. Carla Nasca in New York. The role supports cutting-edge basic and translational neuroscience research focused on epigenetic mechanisms of neuroplasticity and related therapeutic targets.
What you'll do
Assist with and perform cutting-edge basic and translational research in the laboratory.
Present research findings at lab meetings and conferences.
Work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team and actively engage in ongoing research projects.
Learn new techniques and contribute creatively and proactively to new research directions.
Requirements
Strong motivation and passion for neuroscience.
Preferred B.S. or B.A. in Cell Biology, Neuroscience, Pharmacology, Biomedical Sciences, Psychology, or a related field.
Required lab experience with molecular/biochemical techniques such as qPCR, Western blot, ELISA, and immunofluorescence.
Excellent organizational and communication skills; ability to work in an interdisciplinary and collaborative team.
Knowledge of exosome biology (plus).
Animal experience (preferred).
