Weigher Grader - LA - VG

Viserion Grain Company is hiring a Weigher Grader to support safe and efficient grain elevator operations. This entry-level role focuses on operating equipment, accurately weighing and sampling inbound/outbound grain, and maintaining documentation to support quality and compliance.

• Operate the PLC and related equipment to run grain elevator loading, unloading, and transfer processes.
• Weigh and sample all inbound and outbound grain and grain products accurately.
• Calibrate grain testing and weighing equipment (including truck scales), perform cross-checks, and maintain proper documentation.
• Conduct toxin testing on grain; package, store, and ship samples to appropriate labs as required.
• Operate grain weighing equipment, software, and systems and record required documentation; report errors or irregularities.
• Maintain housekeeping/cleanliness of grain handling and assigned plant/office areas.
• Develop product knowledge, including understanding and handling hazardous properties of products.
• Follow all applicable safety and environmental regulations and comply with company safety programs and policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Education:

  • High school diploma or GED (preferred).

• Experience:

  • 1 year of grain industry experience (preferred).

• Skills:

  • Basic written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a safety-conscious, quality-controlled environment.

• Physical requirements:

  • Regular walking, bending, and stooping.
  • Work on catwalks at heights up to 200 feet with appropriate safety equipment.
  • Climb stairs and ladders.
  • Lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Enter and work in confined spaces.
