Senior Test Automation (Python, automotive)

Luxoft seeks a Senior Test Automation Engineer with Python expertise to join their dedicated testing team for a prominent American automaker. You will design and execute robust automated test scenarios for automotive systems in a multicultural, Agile environment.

• Design, develop, and execute robust automated test scenarios utilizing Python as the primary scripting language
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of automation frameworks
• Write detailed test scenarios ensuring comprehensive test coverage
• Conduct specialized testing of automotive systems, including in-vehicle component validation
• Analyze logs and resolve issues within automated testing pipelines
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners within the Scrum framework
• Participate in sprint planning and daily stand-ups

Mandatory Skills:

• Prior work with embedded or automotive systems, especially multi-ECU scenarios
• Proven experience developing, debugging, and maintaining Python code for automated testing
• Log analysis and issue resolution within automated testing pipelines
• Proficiency with Visual Studio Code (VSCode) and relevant extensions
• Python virtual environment and dependency management
• Git version control and JFrog Artifactory proficiency
• Technical documentation reading and following in English
• Strong communication skills for collaboration
• Exposure to automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet)

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Test automation for automotive multimedia, connectivity, and driver-assistance features
• BDD and keyword-driven testing frameworks
• Gherkin scenario translation to executable automation logic
• Python script analysis, optimization, and troubleshooting
• Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) integration via ASAM HIL APIs
• ADAS feature testing (Camera, Parking Assist, Driving Assistance)
• Requirements gap analysis, traceability, and coverage reporting for safety-critical systems
