Senior PHP Backend Developer

Summary

Foundrr.lab is seeking a Senior PHP Backend Developer to develop and maintain a large-scale ERP system for a jewelry manufacturing and wholesale company. This long-term, remote role involves feature development, refactoring, and system integrations across manufacturing, inventory, logistics, finance, and wholesale operations.

What you'll do

  • Develop and maintain backend functionality for the ERP system
  • Work with legacy code: improve, refactor, and extend existing modules
  • Design and implement new features and integrations
  • Develop and maintain APIs (REST / SOAP)
  • Work with real-time features using WebSockets
  • Optimize performance, stability, and database queries
  • Fix bugs and ensure system reliability
  • Collaborate with backend, frontend, and product team members
  • Take ownership of tasks from analysis to delivery

Requirements

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience with PHP
  • Strong experience with native PHP (procedural, OOP, DI)
  • Hands-on experience with Yii2, Laravel/Lumen, Workerman
  • Solid understanding of OOP and design principles, WebSockets, REST and SOAP APIs, GitFlow, CI/CD pipelines, Linux environments
  • Database experience: PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis
  • Frontend basics: Native JavaScript, jQuery, HTML/CSS
  • English level: B2 or higher (written and verbal communication)

  • High level of responsibility and ownership for results
  • Ability to work effectively in distributed teams
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working in Scrum teams (5+ people)
  • Experience building complex ERP or CRM systems
  • Knowledge of Python
  • Experience with high-load or business-critical systems
