Director of People Operations

Summary

Zilliant is a SaaS company focused on eliminating Pricing Anxiety by delivering intelligent pricing solutions that help customers align teams and drive sustainable growth. The Director of People Operations will lead the global HR operations engine, ensuring scalable, compliant people processes across payroll, benefits, systems, workforce planning, and employee relations. This role partners closely with Finance, Legal, and executive leadership and reports directly to the CEO.

What you'll do

  • Lead global workforce planning, including headcount reviews, organizational planning support, and board-ready reporting.

  • Provide strategic leadership to the People team by setting vision, aligning priorities to business objectives, and building a high-performing, scalable function.

  • Manage complex employee relations matters in the U.S. and internationally, including non-U.S. representation, reductions in force (RIFs), and country-specific closures.

  • Oversee annual performance and merit cycles, including budget alignment with Finance, compensation recommendations, calibration, documentation, and execution.

  • Own global payroll and benefits operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, broker coordination, open enrollment execution, and HRIS/provider integrations.

  • Maintain and optimize HR systems and tools (HRIS, ADFS, Betterworks, SharePoint, and related platforms) to ensure data integrity, reporting accuracy, and scalable processes.

  • Partner visibly with Finance, Legal, and executive leadership on high-impact workforce and compliance decisions.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including significant leadership in global People Operations.

  • Proven experience leading and developing multi-disciplinary People teams across Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partnership, People Operations, and Learning & Development.

  • Significant experience navigating employment law and workforce actions in Europe, specifically the UK, France, and Germany, including works council engagement and country-specific compliance.

  • Demonstrated experience managing reductions in force (RIFs), international employment matters, and high-risk employee relations cases.

  • Experience leading enterprise-wide performance and merit cycles in partnership with Finance, including budget alignment and executive calibration.

  • Strong expertise in global payroll and benefits administration, including vendor and broker oversight, compliance, and systems integration.

  • Experience setting strategy and governance for People technology ecosystems (payroll, global employment, background screening, performance management, compensation planning, recruiting, compliance, reporting, and learning), emphasizing automation, data integrity, regulatory compliance, and scalable operations.

  • Working knowledge of U.S. employment law and experience coordinating with international counsel and external advisors.
