Clinical Trial Associate (Associate, Rater Services)
Summary
Cogstate develops digitally validated cognitive assessments used globally in clinical trials and healthcare to advance brain health. The Associate, Rater Services (Clinical Trial Associate) supports delivery of the Cogstate Rater Training Program and provides operational oversight across assigned clinical trial programs. The role serves as a liaison among internal functions and external study stakeholders to ensure timely, compliant execution.
What you'll do
- Maintain accurate real-time record keeping, including tracker updates and high-volume email/site communications.
- Manage and execute tasks in line with company SOPs and applicable regulatory standards.
- Adapt to study changes by re-prioritizing assignments based on evolving study needs and working independently.
- Mentor junior study team members and oversee their work output.
- Support Rater Services Managers with minimal oversight on assigned activities.
- Serve as primary point of contact for sites/raters/CRO from study start-up through close-out.
- Drive project activities to ensure timely completion of client deliverables.
- Communicate directly with site-level staff to provide operational support throughout the study lifecycle.
- Support management and delivery of Phase I–III clinical trials, including understanding and tracking against the project SOW.
- Proactively manage, track, and communicate key deliverables to the Study PM, sponsor, or Rater Training Lead.
- Assume Rater Training Lead responsibilities for small to medium studies.
- Coordinate consultant (LEAD) communications and scheduling.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and/or 3+ years of relevant experience.
2+ years of work experience related to clinical trials.
Professional-level fluency in Japanese.
CRA/CRO experience (preferred).
Project management and/or service-industry experience (preferred).
Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask, manage competing priorities, and work proactively and independently.
Strong communication skills (written and oral), including operational support and conflict resolution.
High attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and strong compliance/record-keeping practices.
High computer literacy; Excel/Microsoft Office proficiency; experience with clinical software (preferred).
Strong people skills to work effectively with internal teams, customers, and third-party providers; ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Conditions
