Frontend-Heavy Architect (Python/Backend knowledge is needed as well)

UKAD is seeking a Frontend Tech Lead to architect and rebuild their core product for a fast-growing, VC-backed GenAI platform that helps gaming companies create and scale content. This individual contributor role combines hands-on React development with high-level system design, requiring mastery of modern frontend technologies and startup agility.

• Own and drive the architectural evolution of the frontend system, focusing on scalability, performance, and maintainability
• Rebuild existing systems from scratch with a strong emphasis on production excellence
• Design and implement frontend solutions using React, TypeScript, and advanced rendering engines
• Collaborate with Team Lead, Product Manager, and developers to deliver high-quality features
• Handle monitoring, debugging, performance optimization, and production incident management
• Integrate backend services using type-safe API design and WebSocket/polling mechanisms
• Establish testing strategies and observability practices across the frontend system

• Experience: 8+ years building and evolving production systems from scratch for real users
• Frontend Expertise: React, TypeScript (non-negotiable), Vite, Pnpm, modern frontend libraries
• Rendering: Proven experience with Canvas engines (Fabric.js, Konva.js, PixiJS, HTML5 Canvas/WebGL)
• State Management: TanStack Query, TanStack Router or React Router
• UI Systems: Headless UI, Shadcn, Storybook with Figma sync, advanced UI patterns
• Backend Knowledge: Strong Python proficiency for BE-FE integration
• API Design: OpenAPI TypeScript, WebSockets, polling mechanisms, queue management
• Databases: SQL/RDBMS (required), PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Milvus (nice-to-have)
• Testing & Monitoring: Vitest, React Testing Library, Sentry/Coralogix or similar tools
• Startup Experience: High-velocity startup environment experience is mandatory
• AI Tools: Proficiency with Cursor or similar AI-powered IDEs and AI/LLM integration experience preferred
