The Clinical Quality Specialist upholds and strengthens quality of care by supporting clinicians and clients through evidence-based processes, investigations, and proactive risk mitigation to improve outcomes.
What you'll do
- Partner with Customer Support, Product, Provider Success, Clinical Quality, and Care Coordination to execute clinical roadmaps and SOPs, including priorities, KPIs, ownership, and workflows.
- Provide ongoing support to providers to maintain high-quality care delivery and professional growth.
- Conduct provider investigations, remediation, and termination processes related to complaints or external reports (e.g., health plans).
- Monitor, track, and respond to clinical adverse events.
- Identify, monitor, and interface with provider outliers.
- Perform clinical utilization reviews (CURs) to assess care quality and inform provider support.
- Support evidence-based practices (including measurement-based care) under the Clinical Quality Manager’s leadership.
- Contribute to clinical research development focused on high-quality clinical outcomes.
- Assess trends in provider complaints and implement proactive interventions.
- Apply early-stage risk mitigation strategies and collaborate cross-functionally to address issues before escalation.
- Support billing-related investigations by gathering documentation and escalating concerns to leadership.
- Surface trends and gaps in clinical processes to leadership for review.
- Develop ideas to incentivize and support the provider network and collaborate on training opportunities with clinical education.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in a mental health discipline.
- Active, cleared clinical license in good standing (e.g., LMFT, LPC, LCSW, LMHC, or equivalent).
- Strong clinical judgment with experience handling escalations, adverse events, or quality-related investigations.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams.
- Commitment to provider support and quality management.
- Familiarity with clinical technology platforms for documentation, case tracking, and data analysis.
- Ability to effectively leverage modern AI productivity tools as part of daily workflow (e.g., Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot or similar).
Conditions
- Compensation: $72,000–$82,000 annually plus equity eligibility.
- PTO: minimum three weeks per year; U.S. holiday schedule; company shutdown between Christmas and New Year’s.
- Health benefits: medical, dental, vision; HSA with $1,100 company contribution; FSA options.
- Insurance: employer-paid short-term and long-term disability, life & AD&D; additional salary-difference coverage for up to seven weeks of STD leave (after waiting period).
