QA Engineer (worldwide remote, work anywhere)

CloudLinux is seeking a QA Engineer for a worldwide remote position. The role involves collaborating directly with developers through pair testing, ensuring quality through manual testing of web applications and business logic, and advocating for users and quality standards.

• Collaboration and Pairing: Work directly in pairs with developers daily, collaborating from the beginning of feature development to move fast and catch mistakes early
• Business Logic and UI Testing: Map out user journeys, test standard business processes, check UI for inconsistencies, verify workflow logic, and identify edge cases that automated scripts miss
• Quality Ownership: Take charge of feature quality, advocate for users and business needs, communicate clearly with developers and product managers about work needed before release

Must have:

• Professional experience as a manual QA engineer or software tester
• Hands-on experience testing web applications and standard business logic
• Good eye for user interface details and user experience flows
• Solid communication skills for close collaboration with developers
• Comfort advocating for users when features don't work as intended

Nice to have:

• Experience in paired programming or paired testing environments
• Familiarity with basic web technologies
• Background in web hosting, Linux, or infrastructure products
