The Human Resources Generalist role supports end-to-end HR operations across the employee lifecycle in a fully remote environment, ensuring accurate processes and compliance. The position serves as a key contact for employees and managers on onboarding, payroll, HRIS, and routine HR inquiries.
What you'll do
- Manage end-to-end onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure smooth employee transitions.
- Coordinate with IT and HRIS teams to set up access and ensure accurate employee records for hires and separations.
- Generate, reconcile, and document payroll reports; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Act as first point of contact for routine employee questions regarding payroll, benefits, and leaves.
- Track and support employee leave processes (including FMLA and ADA), ensuring documentation and follow-up.
- Prepare compliance-related reporting for audits, client questionnaires, and RFPs.
- Enter and process employee data changes in HRIS with a focus on data integrity.
- Support HR Business Partners with employee relations matters, investigations, and corrective actions.
- Oversee hiring requisition workflows, confirm approvals, and verify compensation alignment with company standards.
- Coordinate performance management activities, timelines, and leader communications.
- Support employee engagement initiatives such as recognition and team-building programs.
- Monitor completion of mandatory annual training and compliance requirements.
- Perform additional HR duties as assigned to support department and organizational goals.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in HR coordination, HR operations, or related roles.
- Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
- Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (Paycom preferred).
- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships across organizational levels.
- High attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality of sensitive data.
- Knowledge of HR practices, payroll processes, and compliance standards.
- Teamwork, problem-solving ability, and resilience under pressure.
- Ability to follow company policies and adapt to changing procedures.
