REMOTE - HR Representative
Summary
Ross Stores, Inc. (promoted by Lensa) is seeking an HR Representative to support associates during Leave of Absence (LOA) periods. The role ensures accurate, compliant LOA administration and a high-quality associate experience through case processing, system updates, and responsive customer service.
What you'll do
- Process LOA transactions using ServiceNow, PeopleSoft, Sedgwick ViaOne, case management tools, and Excel (approvals/denials, benefit elections, adjustments, corrections, case creation, letters).
- Respond to associate inquiries via phone, email, LOA inbox, and voicemail; provide professional customer service.
- Update, enter, and maintain LOA data and documentation; upload supporting materials and ensure accuracy.
- Communicate with internal partners and vendors (e.g., Payroll, Benefits, HR Services) to resolve issues and ensure smooth administration.
- Explain company LOA policies and help associates locate policies and procedures for future reference.
- Gather and document critical compliance data (e.g., case notes, LOA dates) and assist with legal holds as needed.
- Generate reports and letters (including benefit payment/exhaust communications) and provide departmental reporting to track work.
- Cross-train and provide backup support to other LOA team members; assist with training/process improvement efforts as needed.
- Stay current on company, state, and federal guideline changes; complete required training and maintain system proficiency.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree.
Strong customer service, communication (verbal/written), and problem-solving skills; ability to build positive working relationships with internal and external partners.
Preferred: LOA administration experience and knowledge of federal/state leave laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, CA CFRA, pregnancy, military).
Ability to work independently or collaboratively; exercise sound judgment on complex and sensitive issues.
Detail-oriented with high accuracy; ability to learn, ask questions, and use online systems/databases effectively.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; proficiency with Excel and PeopleSoft.
Familiarity with HR systems and benefits/payroll practices.
Regular attendance and consistent timeliness.
Conditions
Remote role within the United States; cannot be performed in the State of Colorado or in New York City.
Office/computer-based work with standard physical requirements (sitting/standing/walking, typing, phone use, remote/in-person meetings, handling paper/files).
Pay range stated as $22.69–$32.79 per hour; total compensation may vary by experience, skills, education, certifications, seniority, and location.
