Engineering Team Lead

Commit Offshore is seeking an Engineering Team Lead to lead a cross-functional product team managing multiple technology stacks. The role focuses on delivery, technical direction, and team effectiveness while balancing rapid feature development with product stability.

• Full ownership of delivery for the product team across two products
• Planning, prioritization, and execution to ensure predictable outcomes
• Ownership of technical decisions and system evolution across Python, PHP, and React stacks
• Maintaining and raising engineering standards, including testing and quality practices
• Close collaboration with Product, Data, QA, and other stakeholders
• Early identification and mitigation of delivery, quality, and technical risks
• Coaching, mentoring, and performance management of team members
• Pragmatic improvement of team structure, processes, and workflows

• Leadership & Management: 3+ years managing engineering teams, experience leading multi-stack environments, proven ability to lead cross-functional product teams, high execution focus, strong autonomy in technical decisions, Agile/Scrum experience
• Technical Background: 5+ years commercial backend experience (PHP or Python), API building and maintenance, databases (MySQL, MongoDB), asynchronous processing (RabbitMQ, Celery), distributed/service-oriented architectures, CI/CD and production support, code quality assessment
• Soft Skills: Strong ownership and accountability, structured analytical thinking, clear direct communication
• Languages: Ukrainian or Russian (native), English (Intermediate or higher)
• Nice to have: WordPress experience, React frontend exposure, product scaling or stabilization experience

Remote/Offshore position with Commit Offshore. Ukrainian or Russian language requirement (native level). Collaborative, fast-paced environment with focus on eCommerce and technology.
