Summary

Condé Nast is a global media company with a portfolio including Vogue, GQ, and Vanity Fair. The Designer role supports the Creative Studio by producing multi-platform commercial design work for advertisers across Condé Nast brands. The position focuses on fashion, luxury, and beauty, translating brand briefs into strong visual storytelling and polished executions.

What you'll do

  • Translate fashion and luxury client briefs into compelling design concepts with an editorial sensibility.
  • Create multi-platform design executions across print and digital (editorial print layouts, print production, type treatments, custom digital features, social assets, video GFX, and event collateral).
  • Develop visually impactful presentation materials such as conceptual overviews, moodboards, talent references, digital mockups, and motion references/direction.
  • Set and maintain design standards across production to align with Condé Nast and client brand expectations.
  • Research and interpret trends in fashion, luxury, art, and culture to inform cohesive design language.
  • Collaborate with art directors, editors, creative directors, marketing, and sales stakeholders to shape integrated campaigns that achieve business goals.
  • Nurture cross-functional relationships and contribute commercial perspective when collaborating with editorial teams.
  • Support a team culture of creative risk-taking and outside-the-box thinking while ensuring efficient project processes.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional design experience within media, fashion brands, or premium creative agencies.
  • Strong visual presentation skills and ability to communicate concepts through treatment decks.
  • High proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and Google Slides.
  • Strong passion for typography, layout, design systems, and current design trends.
  • Portfolio demonstrating ambitious work with emphasis on editorial design and fashion campaigns (portfolio links required).
  • Passion for and/or experience in the fashion and luxury industry; knowledge of fashion history and luxury aesthetics.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Nice to have: motion design, 3D, HTML/CSS familiarity, video editing skills, and knowledge of new media and AI.
  • Collaborative qualities: culturally informed, imaginative, adaptable, critical thinking, ego-less attitude, and commitment to diversity/inclusivity.

Conditions

  • Location: in-office in NYC 4 days per week.
  • Compensation: expected base salary range $62,000–$90,000 per year; may be eligible for discretionary bonus compensation.
