Production Designer
Summary
City Cast is seeking a Production Designer to scale its visual brand across a growing network of local media outlets. The role translates existing creative direction into multi-platform design deliverables, templates, toolkits, and occasional UX support to ensure brand consistency across markets.
What you'll do
- Design, adapt, update, and modify brand assets across social, video, web, email, events, swag, and marketing campaigns.
- Adapt creative concepts across formats and cities with consistency and polish.
- Collaborate with the Senior Graphic Designer to evolve and apply the existing visual brand and style.
- Occasionally support basic social and video ad creative, including layouts optimized for motion and performance.
- Create and manage a workflow for handling design requests across multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Build and maintain reusable templates and toolkits to enable self-serve design for local teams.
- Organize and maintain the design system, including asset management, documentation, and access.
- Uphold City Cast’s visual brand consistently across platforms and markets.
- Partner with Editorial, Marketing, Revenue, and city teams to clarify scope, assess requests, and prioritize work.
- Contribute to website design and visual updates across the City Cast network.
- Partner with internal teams and external developers to improve usability, clarity, and visual cohesion across web properties.
Requirements
3+ years of experience designing and producing assets across a variety of platforms and formats.
Experience collaborating with non-design partners and navigating competing priorities.
Strong grasp of graphic design and visual communication principles, brand systems, typography, templates, and scalable design workflows.
Ability to work quickly without sacrificing consistency and quality.
Clear taste and confidence applying and upholding brand standards across multiple sub-brands.
Familiarity with Canva, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and template-based workflows.
Collaborative, diplomatic communicator with the ability to push back thoughtfully when demand exceeds capacity.

Full-time position.
Excellent benefits.
Salary range: $65,000–$85,000 per year (based on experience).
