REMOTE - HR Representative
Summary
Ross Stores, Inc. (promoted via Lensa) is hiring an HR Representative to support associates during Leave of Absence (LOA) and ensure accurate, compliant leave administration. The role focuses on processing leave transactions, responding to associate inquiries, and partnering with internal teams and vendors to deliver a high-quality employee experience.
What you'll do
Process LOA transactions using ServiceNow, PeopleSoft, Sedgwick ViaOne, case management tools, and Excel (e.g., approvals/denials, benefit elections, adjustments, corrections, cases, and letters).
Manage and respond to LOA emails, inbox items, and voicemail inquiries; provide timely customer service and guidance.
Communicate with associates across stores, corporate, buying offices, and distribution centers via phone and email to complete LOA requests.
Coordinate with vendors and internal partners (Payroll, Benefits, HR Services, etc.) to resolve issues and ensure smooth administration.
Explain company LOA policies and direct associates to procedures and resources for future reference.
Gather and document critical case data (e.g., notes, LOA dates) to support compliance efforts, legal matters, and legal holds.
Create reporting to track and monitor departmental work; generate reports and letters (e.g., benefit payment/exhaust communications).
Cross-train and provide backup support to other LOA team members; assist with training and/or process improvements as needed.
Maintain proficiency in systems and stay current on company, state, and federal guideline changes; complete required training.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree.
Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to build positive relationships with internal and external partners.
Preferred experience administering Leave of Absence programs and knowledge of related federal/state laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, CA CFRA, pregnancy, military leave).
Ability to work independently or collaboratively, using sound judgment on complex and sensitive issues.
Detail-oriented with high accuracy; able to learn quickly and ask questions.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; proficiency with Excel and PeopleSoft; familiarity with HR systems plus benefits and payroll practices.
Conditions
Work arrangement: Remote within the United States; cannot be performed in the State of Colorado or New York City.
Pay: Base pay range listed as $22.69–$32.79 per hour (total compensation may vary by role and location).
Schedule/attendance: Regular attendance and consistent timeliness required.
Work environment: Primarily computer-based office work; includes sitting/standing/walking, phone use, typing, and attending in-person and remote meetings.
