Senior DevOps Engineer

Summary

N-iX is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to support AWS Edge infrastructure and serverless applications. The role focuses on enabling adoption of serverless design patterns, maintaining multi-CDN delivery for 100+ public sites, and delivering highly cached, SEO-optimized content globally with low latency.

What you'll do

  • Work collaboratively with application teams providing technical guidance on infrastructure requirements, WebVitals performance targets, and SEO optimization
  • Maintain Multi-CDN delivery for 100+ public sites across multiple platforms
  • Create and improve procedures and runbooks through cross-team collaboration
  • Lead adoption and administration of distributed serverless systems using Infrastructure as Code principles
  • Develop and support DevOps tools through automation using Python or JavaScript
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure Architects, Project Managers, and Software Engineering teams on deployment solutions
  • Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation for incident response

Requirements

  • 4+ years experience supporting 24/7 high-availability AWS production environments
  • 2+ years UNIX/Linux System Administration experience
  • 2+ years with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, AWS Codebuild, and Argo CD
  • In-depth understanding of AWS services, networking, and security technologies
  • Full-stack monitoring and metrics collection experience with Cloudwatch, AWS X-Ray, New Relic, SumoLogic, and Prometheus
  • Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK
  • Source control management experience with GitHub
  • Deep knowledge of object-oriented programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Go
  • Experience with agile methodologies and ITIL change management processes
  • Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle and 12 Factor app design
  • Experience with multiple Multi-CDN hosting platforms
  • Deep understanding of AWS Lambda and serverless design patterns
