Supply Chain Manager

Scion Technology is recruiting a Supply Chain Manager for a leading manufacturer of strength and conditioning equipment in Columbus. This role owns and optimizes end-to-end supply chain processes (procurement, inbound logistics, vendor management) to improve cost efficiency and operational performance. The position leads a small team and advises executive leadership while modernizing operations through data analytics and AI-enabled automation.

• Lead end-to-end supply chain oversight across procurement, inbound logistics, customs compliance, and vendor management to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of 1–3 direct reports; build a high-performance and innovative culture.
• Create and use advanced Excel models, dashboards, and analytics for purchasing optimization, inventory planning, forecasting, and cost control.
• Implement AI tools and automation to improve visibility, efficiency, and proactive risk management.
• Oversee global logistics including international ocean freight, domestic transportation, and trade programs (e.g., FTZs, duty drawback).
• Monitor KPIs, manage vendor negotiations, ensure import/export compliance, and conduct internal audits to mitigate risk.

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics & Transportation, Operations, or related field (MBA preferred).

• 5+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or logistics within a growth-oriented or tech-forward environment.

• Experience with inbound freight, container logistics, tariffs, and customs compliance.

• Strong analytical capability including Excel, data modeling, dashboards, and predictive analytics.

• Demonstrated success leading or developing teams and building scalable functions.

• Interest in leveraging AI, automation, and innovative technologies to modernize supply chain operations.

• Compensation: up to $160,000/year base salary plus bonus (commensurate with experience).
